Important HUI Metering Information

The HUI protocol provides for stereo track metering. It does not provide for output metering.

Important Insert Editing Information

Pro Tools limits HUI device plug-in editing to the first eight channels of the surface. You can bank and scroll a track to the first eight channels and select a plug-in to edit. Thereafter, you can bank and scroll while editing the plug-in.

Channel Strips
Record Arms the assigned audio track of the Channel.
Select Sets the Channel to the Select state.
Solo Solos the Channel.
Mute Mutes the Channel.
Auto Hold down and press a channel select button to cycle through Automation modes for the selected channel.
Track Meters Displays Stereo metering for tracks.
Pan Assigns pan control to the knobs for all tracks. Press again to toggle to right channel pan for stereo tracks.
Sends Assigns Send Mode to bottom edit row for all tracks. Press and hold to display send destination.
Page Up Cycles through Send A-E assignment.
Page Down Cycles through Send A-E assignment.
BypMute Toggles between Send Mute Mode and Send Pre/Post Mode
Inserts Assign track to upper edit row insert editor. Press again to toggle between Insert Select Mode and Insert Edit Mode
Lower Edit Row Edit Pan and Sends
Knob Adjust track pan, send volume, or send pan for stereo sends
BMP Send Mute Mode - toggle send mute
Send Pre/Post Mode - toggle send pre/post.
Flip Flips send volume to Fader, send mute to Mute.
Upper Edit Row Edit Inserts A-E. Only available for tracks 1-8.

Edit End Of Selection - Hold Shift+Option and press Scrub. Use wheel to edit end of selection.
Shuttle Enables Shuttle Mode for the wheel.
Zoom Enables Zoom mode for the cursor keys.
V-Window Mode
With the V-Window feature, users can instantly control any plug-ins or controls on screen through their control surface's channel strip with a touch of a button.
Master Fader Press once to enable V-Window mode for the 8th channel fader. Press a 2nd time to cycle back to basic channel control.
Mute While in V-Window mode, the Mute button on the last channel strip will cycle through the various V-Window Modes which are listed below:
VButton: Use this mode to interact with button controls. The mouse will stay in its place and activate a button press when the fader is touched.
VButtonSet: Use this mode to create and cycle through different button set points. With the mouse hovering above the on screen button's position press Shift+Solo on the control surface to set a Pin at that location. Using the fader in this mode will cylce between multiple Pins to use with VButton mode.
VWKnob: Use this mode when interacting with knob controls on the plug-ins GUI.
VWHSlider: Use this mode when interacting with horizontal slider controls on the plug-ins GUI.
VWVSlider: Use this mode when interacting with vertically slider controls on the plug-ins GUI.
Solo While in V-Window Mode, pressing the Solo button will pin the mouse location and revert to that location any time the fader is touched. Once the fader is released, the mouse is also returned to that pin position. This way it is very easy to pin a parameter and instantly control it without having to worry with the mouse cursor is on the screen.
Select Use the Select button while in V-Window mode to reset the fader position.

There are several different modes available for the cursor keys and wheel.
Navigate Enables Wheel and cursor to default mode.
Scrub Enables Scrub mode for the wheel.
Shuttle Enables Shuttle Mode for the wheel.
Zoom Enables Zoom mode for the wheel and cursor keys.
Zoom+Shift Enables Track Zoom for the wheel and cursor keys. Track zoom increases/decreases track height.
Zoom+Option Enables Wave Zoom for the wheel and cursor keys. Wave zoom increases waveform view in region.
Zoom+Control Enables Nudge trim mode for the wheel and cursor keys. Use Left/Right cursor keys to change between start/end of region. Use Up/Down cursor keys or wheel to trim.

The HUI protocol provides for stereo track metering. It does not provide for output metering. Pro Tools will not provide track metering if Eucon is enabled. Disable Eucon for track metering.

Important Insert Editing Information

Pro Tools limits HUI device plug-in editing to the first eight channels of the surface. You can bank and scroll a track to the first eight channels and select a plug-in to edit. Thereafter, you can bank and scroll while editing the plug-in.

V-Window Mode
With the V-Window feature, users can instantly control any plug-ins or controls on screen through their control surface's channel strip with a touch of a button.
Master Fader Press once to enable V-Window mode for the 24th channel fader. Press a 2nd time to cycle back to basic channel control.
Mute While in V-Window mode, the Mute button on the last channel strip will cycle through the various V-Window Modes which are listed below:
VButton: Use this mode to interact with button controls. The mouse will stay in its place and activate a button press when the fader is touched.
VButtonSet: Use this mode to create and cycle through different button set points. With the mouse hovering above the on screen button's position press Shift+Solo on the control surface to set a Pin at that location. Using the fader in this mode will cylce between multiple Pins to use with VButton mode.
VWKnob: Use this mode when interacting with knob controls on the plug-ins GUI.
VWHSlider: Use this mode when interacting with horizontal slider controls on the plug-ins GUI.
VWVSlider: Use this mode when interacting with vertically slider controls on the plug-ins GUI.
Solo While in V-Window Mode, pressing the Solo button will pin the mouse location and revert to that location any time the fader is touched. Once the fader is released, the mouse is also returned to that pin position. This way it is very easy to pin a parameter and instantly control it without having to worry with the mouse cursor is on the screen.
Select Use the Select button while in V-Window mode to reset the fader position.
MIDI Mode
MIDI Mode converts the surfaces faders, knobs, and buttons into assignable MIDI Controls that can be mapped in the DAW.

Soft Keys Button
Soft Keys Enables the knob buttons on the channel strips to become softkeys. Soft Keys can be mapped in the Studio Setups window of Cubase when the C24 is selected.
View Buttons
Focus Toggles Banking mode follow for Bank and Scroll buttons.
When Follow mode is on, Mixer in Cubase moves to match what is shown on Control surface. (Must have track count in Cubase view match control surface layout.)
V-Window Mode
With the V-Window feature, users can instantly control any plug-ins or controls on screen through their control surface's channel strip with a touch of a button.
Master Fader Press once to enable Master Fader control. Press a second time to enable V-Window mode for the 24th channel fader. Press a 3rd time to cycle back to basic channel control.
Mute While in V-Window mode, the Mute button on the last channel strip will cycle through the various V-Window Modes which are listed below:
VButton: Use this mode to interact with button controls. The mouse will stay in its place and activate a button press when the fader is touched.
VButtonSet: Use this mode to create and cycle through different button set points. With the mouse hovering above the on screen button's position press Shift+Solo on the control surface to set a Pin at that location. Using the fader in this mode will cylce between multiple Pins to use with VButton mode.
VWKnob: Use this mode when interacting with knob controls on the plug-ins GUI.
VWHSlider: Use this mode when interacting with horizontal slider controls on the plug-ins GUI.
VWVSlider: Use this mode when interacting with vertically slider controls on the plug-ins GUI.
Solo While in V-Window Mode, pressing the Solo button will pin the mouse location and revert to that location any time the fader is touched. Once the fader is released, the mouse is also returned to that pin position. This way it is very easy to pin a parameter and instantly control it without having to worry with the mouse cursor is on the screen.
Select Use the Select button while in V-Window mode to reset the fader position.
MIDI Mode
MIDI Mode converts the surfaces faders, knobs, and buttons into assignable MIDI Controls that can be mapped in the DAW.

Send A Expanded Sends V-Pot mode. Press Send A to cycle through Send overview and detail pages, which allow control over the selected track's parameters.
Flip Flips V-Pot control to Faders.
Send Mute Spills the Main Bus
Master Faders Press first time to toggle Master fader to be assigned to last fader on controller. Master Fader light will be solid in this mode.
Press second time to enable V-Window feature for last fader on controller. Master Fader Light will be flashing in this mode.

Control24 Pro Tools

Important HUI Metering Information

The HUI protocol provides for stereo track metering. It does not provide for output metering. Pro Tools will not provide track metering if Eucon is enabled. Disable Eucon for track metering.

Important Insert Editing Information

Pro Tools limits HUI device plug-in editing to the first eight channels of the surface. You can bank and scroll a track to the first eight channels and select a plug-in to edit. Thereafter, you can bank and scroll while editing the plug-in.

V-Window Mode
With the V-Window feature, users can instantly control any plug-ins or controls on screen through their control surface's channel strip with a touch of a button.
Master Fader Press once to enable V-Window mode for the 24th channel fader. Press a 2nd time to cycle back to basic channel control.
Mute While in V-Window mode, the Mute button on the last channel strip will cycle through the various V-Window Modes which are listed below:
VButton: Use this mode to interact with button controls. The mouse will stay in its place and activate a button press when the fader is touched.
VButtonSet: Use this mode to create and cycle through different button set points. With the mouse hovering above the on screen button's position press Shift+Solo on the control surface to set a Pin at that location. Using the fader in this mode will cylce between multiple Pins to use with VButton mode.
VWKnob: Use this mode when interacting with knob controls on the plug-ins GUI.
VWHSlider: Use this mode when interacting with horizontal slider controls on the plug-ins GUI.
VWVSlider: Use this mode when interacting with vertically slider controls on the plug-ins GUI.
Solo While in V-Window Mode, pressing the Solo button will pin the mouse location and revert to that location any time the fader is touched. Once the fader is released, the mouse is also returned to that pin position. This way it is very easy to pin a parameter and instantly control it without having to worry with the mouse cursor is on the screen.
Select Use the Select button while in V-Window mode to reset the fader position.
MIDI Mode
MIDI Mode converts the surfaces faders, knobs, and buttons into assignable MIDI Controls that can be mapped in the DAW.

Mute While in V-Window mode, the Mute button on the last channel strip will cycle through the various V-Window Modes which are listed below:
VButton: Use this mode to interact with button controls. The mouse will stay in its place and activate a button press when the fader is touched.
VButtonSet: Use this mode to create and cycle through different button set points. With the mouse hovering above the on screen button's position press Shift+Solo on the control surface to set a Pin at that location. Using the fader in this mode will cylce between multiple Pins to use with VButton mode.
VWKnob: Use this mode when interacting with knob controls on the plug-ins GUI.
VWHSlider: Use this mode when interacting with horizontal slider controls on the plug-ins GUI.
VWVSlider: Use this mode when interacting with vertically slider controls on the plug-ins GUI.
Solo While in V-Window Mode, pressing the Solo button will pin the mouse location and revert to that location any time the fader is touched. Once the fader is released, the mouse is also returned to that pin position. This way it is very easy to pin a parameter and instantly control it without having to worry with the mouse cursor is on the screen.
Select Use the Select button while in V-Window mode to reset the fader position.
MIDI Mode
MIDI Mode converts the surfaces faders, knobs, and buttons into assignable MIDI Controls that can be mapped in the DAW.

ProControl Pro Tools

Important HUI Metering Information

The HUI protocol provides for stereo track metering. It does not provide for output metering. Pro Tools will not provide track metering if Eucon is enabled. Disable Eucon for track metering.

Important Insert Editing Information

Pro Tools limits HUI device plug-in editing to the first eight channels of the surface. You can bank and scroll a track to the first eight channels and select a plug-in to edit. Thereafter, you can bank and scroll while editing the plug-in.

VButtonSet: Use this mode to create and cycle through different button set points. With the mouse hovering above the on screen button's position press Shift+Solo on the control surface to set a Pin at that location. Using the fader in this mode will cylce between multiple Pins to use with VButton mode.

Fast Focus and Refocus
With V-Control Pro, the FaderPort automatically focuses to any track you select. V-Control Pro can widen the bank up to thirty-two tracks for instant focus, and if it loses focus it immediately blinks the Channel button. Simply tap the blinking button to automatically ReFocus. Now you can select any track at any time for a focused FaderPort.
Channel When selecting a track outside of the controlled banks, the Channel button will immediately blink on the FaderPort. Press it to ReFocus to that track for control.
When a track is selected within the controlled banks, press the channel button to enable the wheel for navigation.

V-Window Mode
With the V-Window feature, users can instantly control any plug-ins or controls on screen through their control surface's channel strip with a touch of a button.
Master Fader Press once to enable Master Fader control. Press a second time to enable V-Window mode for the 24th channel fader. Press a 3rd time to cycle back to basic channel control.
Mute While in V-Window mode, the Mute button on the last channel strip will cycle through the various V-Window Modes which are listed below:
VButton: Use this mode to interact with button controls. The mouse will stay in its place and activate a button press when the fader is touched.
VButtonSet: Use this mode to create and cycle through different button set points. With the mouse hovering above the on screen button's position press Shift+Solo on the control surface to set a Pin at that location. Using the fader in this mode will cylce between multiple Pins to use with VButton mode.
VWKnob: Use this mode when interacting with knob controls on the plug-ins GUI.
VWHSlider: Use this mode when interacting with horizontal slider controls on the plug-ins GUI.
VWVSlider: Use this mode when interacting with vertically slider controls on the plug-ins GUI.
Solo While in V-Window Mode, pressing the Solo button will pin the mouse location and revert to that location any time the fader is touched. Once the fader is released, the mouse is also returned to that pin position. This way it is very easy to pin a parameter and instantly control it without having to worry with the mouse cursor is on the screen.
Select Use the Select button while in V-Window mode to reset the fader position.

Bank Mode
There are two ways to use the Send Mode button to assign Sends to the knobs.
Send(Hold)+Default+Channel Select Single Sends V-Pot mode. Press and hold the Send A button and then press the specified knob button to display that Send across all V-pots.
Send Expanded Sends V-Pot mode. Press Send A to cycle through Send overview and detail pages, which allow control over the selected track's parameters.
Pan Assign Pan position to knobs.
Flip Flips V-Pot control to Faders.
Master Faders Press first time to toggle Master fader to be assigned to last fader on controller. Master Fader light will be solid in this mode.

V-Window Mode
With the V-Window feature, users can instantly control any plug-ins or controls on screen through their control surface's channel strip with a touch of a button.
Master Fader Press once to enable Master Fader control. Press a second time to enable V-Window mode for the 24th channel fader. Press a 3rd time to cycle back to basic channel control.
Mute While in V-Window mode, the Mute button on the last channel strip will cycle through the various V-Window Modes which are listed below:
VButton: Use this mode to interact with button controls. The mouse will stay in its place and activate a button press when the fader is touched.
VButtonSet: Use this mode to create and cycle through different button set points. With the mouse hovering above the on screen button's position press Shift+Solo on the control surface to set a Pin at that location. Using the fader in this mode will cylce between multiple Pins to use with VButton mode.
VWKnob: Use this mode when interacting with knob controls on the plug-ins GUI.
VWHSlider: Use this mode when interacting with horizontal slider controls on the plug-ins GUI.
VWVSlider: Use this mode when interacting with vertically slider controls on the plug-ins GUI.
Solo While in V-Window Mode, pressing the Solo button will pin the mouse location and revert to that location any time the fader is touched. Once the fader is released, the mouse is also returned to that pin position. This way it is very easy to pin a parameter and instantly control it without having to worry with the mouse cursor is on the screen.
Select Use the Select button while in V-Window mode to reset the fader position.

Channel Strips
Record Arms the assigned audio track of the Channel.
Solo Solos the Channel.
Mute Mutes the Channel.
Select Sets the Channel to the Select state. Acts as Record enable when the record button is enabled.
Knob Changes the assigned parameter.

Meter Toggles meter display to left or right meter.

Bank Mode
The assignment buttons are used to assign controls to the Knobs.
Pan (Default) Shows pan position in LED Strip. Knob controls pan position.
Send A Assigns Send 1 to knobs. Assigns Send 6 to knobs when current assignment is Send 1. Use Channel Bar Scroll Left and Right to switch parameters.
Send B Assigns Send 2 to knobs. Assigns Send 7 to knobs when current assignment is Send 2. Use Channel Bar Scroll Left and Right to switch parameters.
Send C Assigns Send 3 to knobs. Assigns Send 8 to knobs when current assignment is Send 3. Use Channel Bar Scroll Left and Right to switch parameters.
Send D Assigns Send 4 to knobs. Use Channel Bar Scroll Left and Right to switch parameters.

There are several different modes available for the cursor keys and wheel.
MemLoc Enables Marker Mode. Use Wheel or Left/Right cursor keys to navigate between markers. Down cursor key creates marker at playhead.
Zoom Enables Zoom mode for the wheel and cursor keys.
Zoom+Shift Enables Track Zoom for the wheel and cursor keys. Track zoom increases/decreases track height.
Zoom+Option Enables Wave Zoom for the wheel and cursor keys. Wave zoom increases waveform view in region.

Bank Mode
There are two ways to use the Send Mode button to assign Sends to the knobs.
Send(Hold)+Default+Channel Select Single Sends V-Pot mode. Press and hold the Send A button and then press the specified knob button to display that Send across all V-pots.
Send Expanded Sends V-Pot mode. Press Send A to cycle through Send overview and detail pages, which allow control over the selected track's parameters.
Pan Assign Pan position to knobs.
Flip Flips V-Pot control to Faders.
Master Faders Press first time to toggle Master fader to be assigned to last fader on controller. Master Fader light will be solid in this mode.
Press second time to enable V-Window feature for last fader on controller. Master Fader Light will be flashing in this mode.
Track Buttons
Record Arms the assigned audio track of the Channel.
